HI all it's been a while since i wrote something here .. my depression hasn't been good for months now and i'm wondering when it will be better . i have sleepless nights for a while now and i'm so worried as i can't take over medication . never say to me that fighting against depresssion is a question is strengh and wish ..it's just too hard to explain but it's much more harder to deal with that it is said or that people think Usually i spend this time reading but this year i have been unable to read because i had a lack of concentration ..i remind you that english is my second language and that it's sometimes hard to read in english .. I had huge anxiety and panic crisis and insomnia ..so i hardly do something .. summer went by so quickly that i didn't have time to enjoy it .. this year i'm having my english classes in a new association as i have been decived by my former place universite permanente .. at the universite permanente they cancel the CAE class that i really wanted to take and i only had a conversation class .. this class was in fact a reading class as the teacher asked us to read an article and ask for the vocab and we quite never talked . SO i was sad to have spend €150 just to read a page once a week : i can do this at home with a book .. so this year i'm in an association with the ccfb in nantes where i have 2 classes : a normal class to review all the grammar rules what i really needed and a real conversation class where we talk on a theme for one hour .on both class we are only 10 which is really good ..i just miss my cae class .. i wanted to start again german but it appears that i'm too tired to do another activity in addition to my swimming trainings and my english classes so i have to cancel it .. my heart wants to do something and my body say no ..so it's a huge battle inside me .. so i'll try to read again as soon as i can .. best valerie

Book review : Twenties girl from Sophie Kinsella

Lara has always had a big imagination ..But this time is it true . While she was at her great Aunt Sadie funeral ( she was 105) she heard a voice “ where is my necklace ? “ but the problem is that only Lara heard it ..This voice keeps following her and then she discovered that in fact it is her great Aunt Sadie at the age of 23 . Lara life is a disaster : her boyfriend Josh just broke up with her , her collegue just let her alone at her work without any explanation ..her parents believe that she has a stable life and she doesn’t know what to tell them now . How will Lara react to her new ghost Sadi in her life ? How will this will have an impact in her life? Will she succeed in helping Sadie finding her necklace again ? What will she discover about her family ? It was a good book but not my best from sophie kinsella. I loved the story even if sometimes I found it a little long but it was as sophie makes them a funny one ..Lots of imagination as usual .. I really enjoy how things went and how Sadie and lara learn to love each other .. Good book

Holly and Gerry knew each other for years and they both were married . Even if they had fights at home they truly loved each other. One day Gerry became ill ( a tumour) and knew his life will end soon . Holly had stopped everything to be with her husband during his illness. Now Gerry has gone and Holly has to learn how to live on her own with that terrible loss . For her life seems to have stopped and had a hard time enjoying life now . But Gerry is still here : he has left her a list to follow to go on her life . How will Holly react with such a loss? Will she be able to live again a normal life without Gerry ? How will she react to the happiness of her friends ? Will she be able to follow the list Gerry left her ? It’s definitely a great book ..i love that book so much : hard to put it down ..even if sometimes it was so sad ..Cecelia Ahern did a great job on this book : the characters are great and all enjoyable . The story is lively so for me it was a great book .. Can’t wait for the next one 

Maggie is more a outgoing women and love men . She always have problems and Rose tries to help her sister as much as she can . But one day Maggie did the unforgettable for Rose and Rose doesn’t want to see her anymore . SO Magie tries to survive . They can’t count on their father’s help who have married a bad women who doesn’t like the 2 sisters Will the two sister be best sisters again like it was when they were young ? Will they discover that they are not as different as they thought ? What will they discover about their previous family life ? I like this book which was my first from Jennifer weiner . But it’s not the best I’ve read at the moment . I found a little long some part of this book . The story between the two sisters are nicely told ..

There she met Jenny who will become her friend and roommate after .Jenny will try to help her going through her deception about M ark her fiancé . She suggested her to meet life and live her life in New York .SO she did so and start dating 2 men really different one from the other . She starts a blog on her new life and quickly became a famous blogger . Will Angela will adapt to the New York life and way of life ? Will she succeed in becoming what she wanted to be a writer ? Will she succeed in forgetting her former life and be what she has discovered she is ? It was my first book from Lindsay Kelk and I loved it so dynamic so funny so hear taking . we really love to follow Angela life and stories in New York . the style is easy to read too and well done . I don’t know New York so it was if I was discovering the town with her . I just can’t wait to read the next book and to follow Angela life and love life too .

Romily is secretly in love from her best friend Charlie . They both belong to the same band and they perform mainly for wedding. One day Romily decided to tell Charlie she loves him and he didn’t react as she wanted .So she run away . She made fall a toys stall on the Christmas market and a man stopped to help her . When she left he follow her and kissed her and vanished into the market . It was such a special kiss that she decided to find him again despite the fact that she only knows what he was wearing and where they met . SO she launched a one year quest to find him with its ups and downs . Will Romily will find again her lover ?. How her closed family and friends will react to such a quest ? It was my first book from Miranda Dickinson and I really like it . The book starts very well and we are sticked into it as we really want to know if Rom will have any help in her quest ..It’ s a lively book and easy to read .. My favorite character was Rom as she is so sweet and determined in her quest. I also like Mags and Dudley who shows us what is it to find someone by love and to still love her after lots of years .. I can’t wait to read the next book

Book review : summer daydreams by Carole Matthews

Nell Mc Namara is happy .She has a wonderful Boyfriend Olly and a wonderful daughter Petal .She work in a chip shop where everyone love her . One day her boss Phil tells her that she should learn how to use her creativity .SO she tried an Art school but she will be fired after just a few days . She loves handbags and then she decides to try to design some as a new business .But everything won’t be as simple as it seems . Will Nell succeed in her new business ? Will her love Olly will accept these new changes in their lives ? How things will go on with her friends too ? This is a lovely book from Carole Matthews .I loved how the story goes on and it shows us how it is difficult to start a new business you know nothing about .It could be a real story on the way the story is said . I love Carole Matthews ‘writing style too . I loved all the characters and they seems quite all nice except one or two . Another nice book from Carole Matthews

Tanzy hopes to get married and have her own family but she is getting old for having a child . But her fiancée ruins all her dreams . So she decides to move near her grand aunt Nan in Sticklepond. But soon she looses her Nan and inherits from the family shop . Tanzy decides to move it into a wedding shoes shop . Her Aunt has let her a recording about her life that Tanzy will listen every evening . Her neighbor Ivo is not keen in the new place and new business as he can’t be relaxed as much as he would like to be ..Tanzy is a bit stressed to disturb her new neighbor and hopes he will get on with his new life . Will Tanzy succeed in her new business? Will she succeed in forgetting what her fiancée has done ? How will life be without her great Aunt ? Will she be able to live her dreams despite this sad period? I was really happy to see that this book was linked to Chocolate Wishes and I was happy to see raffy saint clair and chloé and all the inhabitants of Sticklepond . So it was as If it was a following of life from one book to another .I have loved this book too and the idea of a wedding shoes shop . We still have the life in the small village as we did in Chocolate wishes with new stories so I really enjoyed it . Tanzy was a great character so nice and keen on what she wanted to do ..My other character hum sort of character was Flash ..I laugh a lot with that poor dog too .. Ivo was a bit strange to me but I like the way he has changed too .. I hated Kevin he was weak and not a nice person SO I really enjoy this book .I was still under the influence of Trisha Ashley words and stories .. Can’t wait for the next book !

book review ; things i want my daughters to know from Elizabeth Noble

This is the story of a family in which the mother, Barbara has just died from a cancer. But she had left letters and a diary to all of her four daughters : Jennifer , Lisa, Amanda and Hannah . Her husband Mark tries to deal with this terrible lost and with managing to help his daughters in law (except from Hannah who is his ) . Jennifer , Lisa and Amanda have all problems in her lives while Hannah is discovering life from her 16 years old . What have Barbara written to each of her daughters? Will this will change the way they live or the way they see their mother ? Will they succeed to live after losing their mothers ? Will Mark succeed in creating a special relationship with is step daughters ? and will he also succeed in living without Barbara I really love this book .It was my first book from Elizabeth Noble and I really enjoy it . I was a bit afraid by the title but since the first pages I was deep inside the book and could hardly put it down . Great book on “how we can imagine someone and discover she was different from our dream “ Down to earth book as the daughters have problems to deal with as in everyday life .. My favorite character is Amanda as she has changed a lot during the book and we discover lots of things on her and she succeed in dealing with them ..

Chloé and her family are moving to Sticklepond . It’s a new start for her say the cards she usually read with Zillah . Her shop of chocolate wishes works well and she is happy with that . Her grand father Grumps plans to open a pagan museum in the village but most of the people are religious so they are against the family in the village .. But maybe there will be a chance as a new vicar will be coming soon and Grumps hopes he will be more open to his ideas which are not against religious point of view . Chloe’s friends are members of the church’s committee that’s why she knows all about that .. One day she met one of her ex boyfriend David .Maybe it’s the change that the cards have talked about she thought . She wants them to be friend but not more but he thinks differently . Of course they were on the way to get married when he dropped her . What is her surprise when she learns that the new vicar is no one else than Raffy Sainclair her first love .The one she never forgive to have let her down to go on tour with his famous band . Will Cloe and her family be accepted in the village? Will Cloe succeed in forgiving and giving a new start to her 2 exes ? Will be a more serious threat than Grumps in Sticklepond ? As usual I love Trisha Ashley books and this one is not an exception. We find the lovely theme of cooking much more on chocolate this time. The idea of including pagan ideas was nice . I loved the reading cards too it is quite a nice theme in this book . The love story is well introduced as usual and comes slowly in the book . As usual we learn about the village gossiping ; which is funny . I really enjoy Chloé and Raffy story .They are both sweet to me and I loved seing them being friends again . Grumps was a bit mysterious to me as we don’t hear much about him except that he wants to open his museum and that he writes books Nice book as usual ;) Thx trisha

Book review : trust me , I’m a vet from Catherine woodman

City vet Maz Harwood has to replace her friend Emma at her Otter House Veterinary Clinic. So she arrives and tries to do her best ..but there is another vet clinic, the manor owned by the Fox-Giffords, there who doesn’t want to cooperate. Maz will learn that it is not easy to deal with the clients of those 2 vets clinics especially when the animals take so much place in their owner’s hearts. It won’t be easy when love comes into that and when Maz meets Alex (the son of the owner of the other clinic) . She doesn’t know what to think . It appears to Maz that Otter House is not in good health too and that she needs to do something to save this clinic. Why are friend Emma didn’t told her that her clinic was under debts ? Will Maz succeed in saving this clinic ? Will Maz the city vet will succeed in being happy in this village and to be accepted ? The vet’s life is really well described and I do hope that in real life vets can see some good results. As here it is really sad news over sad news. But we see that Maz does her job with lots of love. I thought that the reaction of the inhabitants of talyton is well described with the arrival of a “stranger” in their place . I was close to crying when I saw how some pets arrived at the Otter house .. I would recommend this book to animal lovers despite the bad ending of some pets. The love story between Maz and Alex comes slowly into that book and is well described .. It was my first book of Catherine woodman and I’m going to read the next one ..

not the great book that i even read ..i won't blame jill mansell maybe this book wasn't good to me .. the stories were between several families living in a small village near Bath ..Lots of relationships starting and ending lots of secret ..hate love friendship .. the main story is aboyt maddy and kerr who can't be together because an old story involving the two families and which is still alive in maddy's step mother's heart i could see what was going next while reading the book that's what annoyed me a lot i would prefer having a bit of surprise even if it would end like that but much more things happening .

Lucke and becky Brandon have now a lovely 2 years old daughter called Minnie. OH Lucke doesn’t have the same approach .He thinks their daughter has a problem as she always created problems whereas Becky thinks she is perfect as she already love fashion ..She can’t stop in front something she wants without shouting “ MINE “.. Lucke has decided to hire the services of a well-known nanny do see what is wrong with Minnie . Will this nanny will find that Minnie have a problem ? Lucke and Becky are still living at Becky’s parents where the first floor is dedicated to becky’s fashion . They were really unlucky with finding a house ..will this time be better ? Becky has decided to do a secret birthday party to Lucke who never celebrates his birthday . How will she manage to make him leave his job for just an evening ? will the party will remain secret until the end ? I was into becky’s world once again and into Minnie’s one ..Even if Minnie is terrible, we can’t don’t loving her .She is so funny and creates lots of problems to her family . it’s so funny to read all of that . We can still see becky devoted love for lucke while she prepares his birthday party despite all the problems she will have to do it .. I would have loved to see more Minnie life and problems as it was really funny ..and to have more a link to the book as the party takes a big part of the book too .. Sophie Kinsella style is still the same and so easy to read .. Hope there will be a new book on the shopaholic series 

Jenny Majesky is deep into her family souvenirs that she wants to put into a book when suddenly a fire burnt all her house leaving just a few things .. Rourke Mc Knight has decided to invite Jenny in her house ; thing that she accepts but she won’t stay long as she decided to move to New York to discover the city life . There she has a proposition to write a book about herself and her life. She suddenly need to return to Avalon and she has an offer to use the camp Kioga loging, thing that she will accept . Things are strange between Rourke and her . Both wonders what to do . Jenny misses Joey so much (her former fiancée) at the moment while she was in her souvenirs . But Rourke is here for her and she wonders what is happening to him . Daisy Bellamy is back to Avalon with her father and her brother . She goes to a new school where she met Sonnet and Zach . They will become good friend . But Daisy will have a huge news to tell them and she is wondering how her new friends will react to the news . Will Jenny will remember more about her family and about her mother ? Will she be able to write her book that she dreamed to write since she was a teenager ? How the relation ship between Rourke and Jenny will go ? Will Daisy will lost her friends with the news ? How will she cope with it ? What do we learn about the Majesky family ? This book is really nice to read and I found again with happiness Daisy ..Jenny and all the new characters . I was deep inside the story this time (whereas it wasn’t the case in the first book ). The “back in the past” didn’t disturb me as much as it did in the first book to. I find it really helpful this time now that I know the people of the book .. Looking forward to the third book now

Book review : it’s a kind of magic from Carole Matthews

Emma and Leo were together for several years when Leo did something wrong : it was Emma birthday and he was supposed to meet her at the restaurant with the rest of the family . But Leo starts the evening drinking and having fun with his two colleagues and friends Lard and Grant . Leo finally decides to head to the restaurant quite drunk . Emma can’t believe he has forgotten again it was her birthday and that he arrives like that drunks and without a gift . So on the way she decided to stop her relationship . On his way back to home, Leo meets Isobel who was on a way of jumping from a bridge . He convincs her to get down and then she follows him at his flat. Here was the little start of a new relationship with Isobel. But Isobel is not an usual person she does magic things . So Leo will have to deal with Isobel kind of magic . Even if he is well with Isobel, Leo can’t stop thinking of Emma and realized how he loves her and that he really want a new chance. On her side, Emma realized that she loves Leo when she sees him with his new girl friend .. What will be the choice of Leo ? staying with his new friend or returning with Emma? Will Emma agree to let another chance to Leo if he decides to come back ? It was a lovely story with lots of magic, joy, but also sadness. I have loved the way how Leo has changed to make happy his girlfriend . I also appreciate the friendship between Leo, Grant and Lard but also between Emma, and her two friends . I have enjoyed the fact that we can see how Emma will change and so does Leo . My favorite character was Isobel as she is kind, lovely and with lots of surprises. I also loved Lard and Grant as they does everything to help Leo in the entire book. They are what we can all wish for as best friends .. Great work Carole Matthews

Book review : where rainbows end from Cecelia Ahern

This is the story of Alex and Rosie who are best friends since their young age . we can see their friend ship going on over the years despite the fact that Alex had to moved to the US with his family . Rosie had a difficult life having a girl at the age of 18; she saw all her dreams going into ashes and was she confronted to the real life of a young mother. During this period, Alex moved to Harvard to become a heart doctor . One fact is they quite never lost contact with each other despite their own life and their own difficulties to deal with life . They were quite always supportive to each other and very helpful in the other’s life. During all those years, they will be in touch via instant messages, letters, invitations, e-mails. So don’t be surprised by the form of the book. There are many people involved in their life such as their husband and wives; Alex’s brother Phil ; Rosie family: Stephanie Kevin and her parents; Rosie best friend Ruby ..But we are also involve in the story of Katie (Rosie’s daughter) and Toby who is her best friend . The big question of the book is : is a friendship between a man and a woman possible without turning in a love affair? Or can it be possible to be best friend with someone who is the opposite gender without messing up our own life ? My favorite character is Rosie : we see her fighting all over the years and she never gave up for the love of her child Katie. She was really down to eath too. Alex was also a nice person such as Ruby who were always here to help Rosie . The book is really well done. First I was on the way to put it down when I saw it was only instant messages and emails but the story is so nicely written that It quickly becomes really addictive . I wanted to know what was going next , what will happen to them, what they will answer to the other one . So I kept ready until late in the night .. It’s at the same time a funny by the way they talk and by some funny times and sad book : I was so involved in Rosie’s life that sometimes I wanted to cry when I saw another bad thing happened to her. SO Cecelia Ahern did a great job again . I have loved so much this book .

Book review : twelve days of Christmas from Trisha Ashley

Holly brown lives in Lancashire .She lost her husband in terrible conditions height years ago near Christmas and she still doesn’t want to celebrate Christmas . Her grandmother has just died and left her all her diaries to read . Holly is a chef in the summer : she usually cooks for families parties, whereas in winter she is a house sitter and pet sitter . Holly was on the way to celebrate, against her will, Christmas with her best friend Laura,a when her boss, Ellen, phoned and asked her to go to an emergency pet sitting .. She quite went there reluctantly as there is a horse to take care and she doesn’t know how to take care of a horse. The owner of the house Jude Martland has escaped his house to escape the usual Christmas period with his family . Last year; he was on the way to be married and his fiancé just went away with his brother. Holly arrived and quickly met the family : Noel , Tilda, Jess but also Becca and other people close to this family .But Jude is not happy with Holly at his home with her inexperience of horses ..The first phoning exchanges are awful . Finally under unexpected circumstances; the family will be reunified in Old Place and Holly will have to cook for all of them. How the all of them will spend those twelve days together? Will Holly finally like to cook for this huge family ? Will the tensions in the family will ease ? What will Holly discover in her grandmother diary ? My favorite character is Holly : he is very kind to those who are nice with her but also can have a strong character to those who are not nice to her . She works really hard and she is devoted to both her jobs: cooking and pet sitting . Coco is the strangest character here . She was supposed to be engaged to Jude’s brother and things has changed that she doesn’t want to admit . She is most of the time hysterical. Jess is a young teenager who truly misses her parents and tries to find love where she can; she will have a great admiration for Holly Noel and Tilda are also really nice but not able to take care of themselves . It’s typically a Trisha Ashley book. With lots of nature, lots of cooking and recipes .I always love the recipes in trisha ashley books . The book is easy to read and I found it difficult to put it down . I’ve loved the fact that it was in a family situation and how they decide to prepare Christmas despite the difficult circumstances . As usual we find some jealousy and gossiping as it is in a small place ..I really enjoyed the book til the end ;) Happy ending as usual too . Great Christmas novel: good job Trisha

One day, after a huge storm Daria,11 years old, found a newborn on the sea side on the morning. She brought her back home . Her parents took great care of her and adopted her as Shelly . Twenty two years letter, Shelly, Daria and Chloé are still living at shanky house. Shelly who is suffering from seizures is a housekeeper at the local church ; Daria is a carpenter and Chloé is a teacher and a nun . Shelly is morally very fragile and Daria overprotects her. Rory who works for the television (true life stories program) in California decides to go back to Kill Devil Hills for the summer with his son Jack .He is recently divorced .He has received a letter from Shelly asking him to find her parents again. When Daria and Chloé knows why he is back they are very reluctant to see him again . Grace, on her side, lives with her husband Eddie and has seen that Rory is back to found the parents of Shelly, and, Grace will try to enter in Shelly ‘s life . But why ? Will Rory will succeed in finding the truth about this morning where this child has been left on the beach ? Will this secret will be discovered? Will Shelly will find out who are her parents without being hurt ? Why grace truly wants to intrude herself in Shelly’s life ? I really enjoyed seing the story going by and how Rory is investigating around the cul de sac where they all used to live . I also loved to see how Rory will take care of not hurting Shelly with his results and will promise Daria not to tell her if it will be hurtful The book was easy and nice to read . I truly love the ending of the story quite unespected, but a lovely ending . The character I enjoy the most was Shelly so fragile so openhearted to everyone . She tries to be kind with everyone and she knows everyone where she lived . She also meet the summer holidays residents . My second favorite character Is Daria : she has taken care of Shelly since she found her and she lives with the necessity of Shelly life ; Shelly can’t be living away from where she has been found so Daria sacrified her love life to stay with her sister ..
